Biographies

Wendy Taylor, M. Ed., Founder

Wendy Taylor is a former MCPS teacher, a certified educator (regular education and special education) and a qualified educational diagnostician. She holds a BS in Social Science and Secondary Education and an MS in Special Education. Wendy has extensive experience working with students of all ages and abilities. She was a faculty member at Saint Petersburg College, a supervisor of pre-service teachers and a classroom teacher. Wendy’s tutoring is very hands-on, with enriched instruction in areas that are individualized for each child.  She provides fun, effective and innovative learning to all of her students.

Monica Baker, M. Ed.

Monica Baker is a certified educator.  Monica has a background in Childhood and Special Education from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York.  She also holds a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Rochester, New York. Monica moved to Maryland, in 2010, after teaching in New York. Her teaching experience includes teaching math, reading, social studies and science to students in a general education and special education setting. Currently, Monica is a 6th grade General Education and Special Education Teacher for Prince George’s County Schools. She uses a hands-on, visual, creative approach to tutoring and continually incorporates research proven strategies while working with her students.

Erin Clark, M. Ed.

Erin Clark is a certified teacher currently working for MCPS. She holds B.S. and M. Ed degrees in Secondary Special Education/Transition from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is dually certified in Special Education and English. Erin has worked in multiple settings, from a Montessori preschool to a tenth-grade classroom. She currently teaches at the middle school level, but enjoys working with students of all ages. She strives to make learning engaging and approachable for her students and enjoys using her creative skills to differentiate lessons for all learners.

Dana Mansky

Dana Mansky is a special education teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools. She teaches English and Reading for the Bridge Program, a program for students with social and emotional disabilities. She received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Delaware in Elementary and Special Education, and is currently working towards her Master’s in human development from the University of Maryland.  Dana ensures all learners achieve success by focusing on a student’s attributes in order to develop their area of need.  Her approach to tutoring is very organized and creative.

Nicolle Spitulnik, M. Ed.

Nicolle Spitulnik began her teaching career in Philadelphia, PA.  She joined MCPS in 2005 as an elementary education teacher.  While in the classroom she had the invaluable opportunity to instruct multiple grade-levels and diverse learning styles.  Nicolle eventually focused her instruction on literacy and writing.  Nicolle’s experience has allowed her to grow personally and professionally in the critical areas of phonics, reading comprehension and the writing process.  She holds a Master’s degree in Education and ESOL.  Nicolle enjoys applying her love for education and learning through tutoring.

Katie Ronaldson, M. Ed.

Katie Ronaldson is a special educator in the Baltimore County Public School system.  She currently works with students with a variety of moderate to severe disabilities, focusing on reading and math intervention.  Katie’s runs a multisensory, data-based instructional program.  Katie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Loyola College, Maryland.  She is very hands-on tutor, who approaches all learners with an individualized, creative style
